“A Brief History of the Hmong & the Secret War in Laos” is a 25 minute documentary detailing the Laotian Civil War, which was an internal fight between the Communist Pathet Lao and the Royal Laotian Government. It has been estimated that as many as 450,000 civilians in Laos, and 600,000 in Cambodia, lost their lives. Figures for refugees exceed a million. In addition, the widespread use of toxic chemical defoliants created a massive health crisis among children, nursing mothers, and the aged, which persists to this day.
It is narrated and produced by retired US Special Forces Major Steve Schofield, based on his first-hand experience of his involvement in Laos between 1969 and 1974.

This important documentary is now available for purchase on DVD for $15.99. A portion of the proceeds go to benefit the Lao, Hmong, and American Veterans Memorial Fund.
