In 1521, the explorer had already become the first European to cross the Pacific Ocean, as part of his goal of sailing around the world. However, in the Philippines, we was killed by chieftain Lapu Lapu and the Battle of Mactan. The song “Magellan” tells the story through filipino novelty singer, Yoyoy Villame.
