Here is a new video that demonstrates some of the new features currently available today in Compiz Fusion.
Compiz Fusion is an free and open source compositing manager for Unix and Unix-like systems. This demonstration is being made on Ubuntu, a South African based Linux distribution which takes its name from ancient African concept of “humanity towards others.” Ubuntu was founded in 2004 by Mark Shuttleworth, who was also the first African in space.
While Windows Vista also offers a 3-D accelerated desktop, Compiz Fusion makes the technology accessible to all by making it freely available to anyone to use, study, or enhance. Additionally, it runs on hardware that is too old or slow to support Vista, making a cutting-edge desktop available to those who cannot afford new computers.
